Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault, really. ~Agnes Sligh Turnbull

It's been awhile since I've posted here. Had issues with my computer.

Angus has been good. We are blessed he has good health. Just has his allergies as I give him his shots and Kelly stays on top of cleaning his ears daily and washing the big guy as often as she can.

Can't believe he is turning 4 in a couple weeks!! He will get his usual carrot cake and big steak!

Hi Angus!!

It's been a hot summer so that means less time outside for the big guy. We tried to venture out yesterday to Boyton Park in Paxton, Ma.

We were met quickly when we got there by two cute tiny dogs. They saw Angus from afar and dashed towards us yelping all the way. Poor Angus just stared at them charging. As soon as the two pooches got with in five feet they stopped and just barked but wouldn't come any closer. Angus just looked then just walked away. lol. He's a good boy, wouldn't hurt a soul.

Angus didn't last long, just too hot even in the shade. The temp reached 89 degrees. He seemed hotter than usual so we left to go home to a cool air conditioned house.

The temps should get cooler now that Fall is almost upon us.

"The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's." - Walt Whitman

We took Angus to the Cape for the day this week. We had to wait until the season came to an end because dogs are not allowed on the beaches during the season. But frankly, it would have been too hot for Angus. Our day was not too hot and not too cool. We started out at Kelly's ole' stomping grounds, West Dennis Beach. If you have never been, it's a must for beach goers. The beach seems to go on for miles with a huge jetty on the west end and a bunch on the east end. We spent some time on the far west side as the tide was out and the water was pretty warm.

Enjoying the low tide

Full steam ahead!!
I think he expected me to carry him!!

Drinking salt water!! Uh oh!!

Taking a stroll

We then headed farther east to Chatham. We stopped at Cockle Cove Beach and had a bit of fun. Cockle Cove is a favorite of mine. Not a large beach but the water stays knee deep for a good hundred yards out which keeps the water pretty warm.

Hi Mama!!
Leaving our mark
We had a great time. Angus seemed to really enjoy himself.... especially the two cheeseburgers from D.Q. after our excursion. Hope to do it again some day.

Properly trained, a man can be dog's best friend. ~Corey Ford

It's been a few months since posting. What's a better time to post than to wish Angus a Happy Third birthday!! He turned Three on September 19th and had a nice dinner and dessert waiting for him.
Happy Birthday Buddy!!

"No matter how little money and how few possesions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin

Hanging at his spot on the front stairs
Well, it's pretty hot out these days which means less time outside for Angus. He overheats fast but loves to bask in the sun. I have an excuse to keep the house nice and cold!! Thanks Angus!!

Can you find Angus??

Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot about puppies. Gene Hill

Kelly and I took a trip to the city today to check out a car for her daughter Ashley. I did some research about the area and found out there was a dog park close by where we were going so of course we brought Angus with us on our journey.

So glad we did or we would have never met Zeus!! A three year old English Mastiff. If I say this dog was beautiful, it still does no justice of how awesome and massive he was!! As large as he was, he was a gentle soul. Made Angus look small, had 40 pounds on him!! Just huge. First time we have seen a dog out bigger than Angus. Alas, it was too hot for Angus today and we could not stay long, but it was great fun getting those two together!! Maybe another road trip??
